lyginamoji politika statusas T sritis Politika apibrėžtis Politikos mokslų šaka, lyginamuoju metodu tirianti politinių struktūrų ir politinio proceso panašumus ir skirtumus įvairiose šalyse arba šalyje. Tematika apima politinių institucijų, politinių režimų ir demokratizacijos procesų tyrinėjimus, politinę kultūrą, partijas, interesų grupes ir socialinius sąjūdžius, politines ekonominės plėtros prielaidas ir kitas vidaus politikos temas. Kartais taip vadinamos kurių nors užsienio šalių arba regionų studijos. Taikant griežtesnį apibrėžimą, lyginamąja politika laikytini metodologiškai pagrįsti sisteminiai šalių tyrimai, kurių tikslas – atskleisti ir paaiškinti politinių sistemų panašumus ir skirtumus.
